Mini Sephora Haul

I was running out of Advanced Night Repair (I have no idea what the exact science of it is so please don't ask - but I am scared of getting old skin and know my face just looks brighter and smoother when I use this consistently) so it was time to shop!

Here's what I got:
And just because the face serum works so well:
It's a really cool gel texture.
(Now I've looked at this pic too long and think it resembles Vicks VapoRub.) Truly though, I really enjoy the fact that it's not a greasy, heavy cream. I get little papillae spots from most eye creams, and have had to settle for using less emollient products in the past. This strikes a better balance between lightness and moisturization for me.

Here were my purchases makeup-wise:

I've used the Dipbrow twice and can't believe how nicely it blends. It's so much easier and faster than the wax in the Benefit BrowZings compact, which is the only brow product I've used for 16 (yes, 16!) years. I've bought about 100 of them, and never switched because when it comes to makeup, if a drag queen tells you to use a product you don't ask questions and do like she says.

Long version of the story - I worked at a makeup counter all through college. The Benefit counter was across the way and my junior year they hired a freaking beautiful man. She would shape my crazy Italian eyebrows when we were slow and always used BrowZings so I always used BrowZings. One day, Toni didn't show up for work and just never came back. I could almost cry looking back at pictures from that time and seeing my PERFECT eyebrows. She plucked them into submission and no one has ever been able to replicate that exact shape. Not one person in the three cities I've lived in since, and by cities I mean Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. I'm telling you - she was THE BEST.

Okay, moving on. I worry the concealer is going to be too pink (it's number 3), so I might need to exchange it. I think Smashbox discontinued my concealer because it wasn't on the website and ordered this one because Jessie James Decker used it in her makeup tutorials and I love both her and Make Up For Ever.

The dual-ended mini lipstick from bite is amazeballs. The colors are super bright and fun, and the fact that it's mini just makes it even better.

Well, that's it for the moment. I hope you all are having a great start to 2015!
